Stade de la Mosson is a football stadium located in the La Paillade district of Montpellier, France. Inaugurated in 1972, it has been the home of Montpellier Hérault Sport Club since 1974. Its full name is Stade de la Mosson-Mondial 98, in reference to the 1998 FIFA World Cup. The stadium is named after the nearby Mosson river, whose floods can cause significant damage during heavy rains. With a capacity of 22,000 seats, the stadium offers an intimate and intense atmosphere, earning it the nickname "La marmite du diable" (The Devil's Cauldron).
