FA Cup quarter finals preview

This weekend is going to be a strange one in English football. Gameweek 32 will start in the Premier League, but at the same time the FA Cup quarter finals will be played. Teams that play a quarter final, will play their Premier League match midweek next week. In this article we preview on the four FA Cup Quarter Finals.

Norwich versus Manchester United

The first FA Cup quarter final of this season will be played on Saturday. Norwich City plays at home against Manchester United. Norwich surprised everybody by eliminating Tottenham Hotspur in the previous round. Man United easily defeated Derby County. This match looks to be a onesided match. Manchester United hit the ground running after the Covid-19 break, while Norwich haven't scored in their three post break matches. If Man United doesn't get into the semi-final, they only have theirselves to blame.

Sheffield United versus Arsenal

This is going to be a very interesting battle. Both teams haven't exactly started flying after the restart. Arsenal did win their last match against Southampton on Thursday. Can they use this victory as a confidence boost? Sheffield United would love to win the FA Cup in their first season after promoting to the top tier. The big question is if the teams will bring their big guns on the pitch. It's the only chance for both teams to win a trophy this season, which is also the shortest way to a tickets for European football.

Leicester City versus Chelsea

This is another very interesting battle in the FA Cup. This match will be played at 5pm on Sunday. These teams are 3rd and 4th in the league with only 1 point between them. The gap with 5th place Man United is 5 and 6 points. This means both teams are still in two races. It's interesting to see how both managers will go into this game. Chelsea looks in much better form than Leicester since the return of football. This is definitely one to watch!

Newcastle United versus Manchester City

There looks to be a bit of a mismatch in this quarter final. Manchester City has by far the superior squad of these teams. The Cityzens lost against Chelsea on Thursday, handing Liverpool the Premier League title. Man City is always extra motivated after a loss. This is there chance to take their revanche for the title loss. Newcastle United looks safe from relegation so both teams can focus on trying to get into the FA Cup final.
